My NAS History

I am currently running a Synology DS218+ which was released in 2018. I purchased the NAS in 2019.
It has been running flawlessly without any issues.
My needs have changed and I wanted to upgrade to a newer updated NAS.

I live in a small, old beach house.
I have no need for a mesh network as a single access point more than covers my house.
I used the draw.io diagramming application to create the network layout.
My network wiring is nothing pretty but it works without having to get on my knees or stand on my head to change or troubleshoot the wiring.
My home network has 2.5GbE speed throughout the house and garage using a variety of QNAP switches.
I currently have 2.5GbE, 5 GbE and 10 GbE speed from my Synology 923+ NAS (Network Attached Storage) to my current desktop computers. The speed varies depending on the computer NIC and/or adapter.
